Officially formed in 2005, the five members of Quintessence have been ringing together for many years.  Quintessence grew out of the handbell program at St. Andrew�s Presbyterian Church in Scarborough, Ontario

Linda (Versteeg) Wilson (far right) � ringing since 1999 � step-mother of one, mother of  Joshua Christopher, 6 lbs, 15 oz., October 28, 2009, lawyer at a private firm

Quintessence has performed in the Toronto area with The Bells of St. Andrew�s, the Ontario Presbyterian Chorus, The Swan Lake Singers, Cantabile Chorale of York Region and Men of Note Male Voice Choir.  They performed and taught at the 2005 and 2009 Ontario Guild of English Handbell Ringers� biennial handbell festivals in Ottawa, Ontario.  They performed at the Solo/Ensemble Extravaganza at Villanova University near Philadelphia, PA in July 2007.  Quintessence performed and taught at the 2008 Canadian National Ringing Link handbell Festival in London, Ontario.  In December 2009, Quintessence performed with Robert Pilon, who played the title role in The Phantom of the Opera in the Toronto production for 3 years.

Quintessence appeared in an episode of History Television's 'Ancestors in the Attic'.

February 21, 2009 � Quintessence presented a concert to raise funds for The James Fund for Neuroblastoma Research at SickKids Hospital.  This concert raised over $2,500.

           Quintessence is saddened by the loss of Krystianna Laurence, Naomi's neice, who lost her 8.5 year battle with neuroblastoma.                March 28, 1996 - November 25, 2009.
